Update on Spam From Last Night

Dear MCC member,
We sincerely apologize, but a spam message was sent out to the membership last night which you may or may not have received.
We are working to trace down the route of the problem, and do not endorse or condone the contents of that message that was sent. We at MCC are not trying to get you to buy property in West Africa, nor do we believe that the Department of Minerals and Natural Resources in Cote d'Ivoire would be smart enough to prospect here at MCC.
Again, we're working hard with our partners to find the source of the problem, and will keep you posted of any pertinent updates. Thank you for your membership and your efforts in making Motor City Connect Detroit's Networking Engine!

Ben, I am most grateful that you have posted this message. It shows me that MCCs leadership is working hard to maintain the integrity of the group on and offline.
THANKS!
I'm sure it's more stressful for YOU guys, than for the rest of us. We know you're working hard.
Oh, man. I just bought that property in West Africa. Mortgaged my house and cashed out my retirement funds. Thought I would pay for it by prospecting for the Department of Minerals and Natural Resources for Cote d'Ivoire. Figured my French skills would come in handy.
Just kidding. Can't believe many (if any) people would take it seriously. On the other hand there is that Nigerian money scam that's been going on for years.
Thanks for bring it up promptly.
