Academic Success Seminar for Parents and Children - FREE
It Takes A Village, Inc. is sponsoring an FREE Academic Success Seminar on Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 1-3:00pm at the Northwest Activity Center in Detroit for parents to receive important information prior to the start of the school year. The purpose of this seminar is to provide parents with strategies to assist their child(ren) in attaining academic success in a variety of settings. There will be a panel of school personnel available to provide information as well as answer any questions you may have regarding your child(ren)'s academic success.
Teachers will provide valuable information on special education services and preparing for the MEAP Test. FREE SCHOOL SUPPLIES will also be handed out to children attending the event. Light refreshments will be served.
