International Business Conference in August

The First International Business Conference (IBC2008) will be held August 7-9, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Michigan. The goal of this conference is to create opportunities for both foreign companies desiring to do business here in the United States as well as to demonstrate international expansion opportunities for Michigan based businesses.
The conference will primely focus on Alternative Energy and Power; Telecommunications and Information Technology; Healthcare and Biotechnology Research and Development; Robotics, Electronics and Automation; and Finance. As Michigan becomes a greater international destination Tourism, Local Commerce, and Real Estate will also benefit.
The organziers feel that Michigan is attractive to the international community because of the region's utilization and conservation of natural resources, manufacturing expertise, advancements in agricultural processes, access to world-class universities and research parks, a highly skilled and educated workforce, and a solid infrastructure to support rapid growth. Ultimately, the goal is to create 300,000 new jobs here in Michigan by 2011.
