Internet connectivity problems

Hello,

Alright I'm play videogames a lot and recently I have been having an issue with my internet connection.I get pretty good download speed of 40 mb but every couple of minutes my connection drops, and after a couple of seconds it goes back to normal. Since I play videogames a lot it gets anoying when im mid match and I everything stops responding until, just a couple of seconds later it skips forward. I also do expirience "ruberbanding". I have tested my internet speed in hopes of catching the internet drop, and it gets from 30 mb down to like 5 or less from a time to time, it might even go to 0 but I dont think there is a way to catch that since it does mean I lose connection.
Any ideas what can be the cause of this?
