Tip for Building Your E-mail List and 4 BIG Events

I'm a big fan of givers and have long focused more on the giving than the taking. It doesn't always have an immediate payoff, but I sure do sleep well at night. These e-mail blasts always feel like a combination of giving and taking...I'm telling you about stuff I'd like you to do, but I truly believe if you show up, you'll get value too. Plus, I like to throw in a tip or two that can positively impact your business. Hopefully, you get something out of these. I suppose if you don't, you either don't open them or just hit delete, right?

Your LinkedIn Contacts E-mail Addresses

If you've ever thought "these are my contacts on LinkedIn", think again. I've noticed more and more "super connectors" having their contacts magically disappear. I don't know if anything like this will happen in the under 500 crowd, but I wouldn't wait to find out. 

A few weeks ago I put together a video on how to download your LinkedIn contacts as a CSV (excel sheet) file. As an added bonus, these contacts could be used for your e-mail marketing list (with permission, of course). However you intend to use them, I would grab them sooner than later.

MCC Almost 10 year Anniversary at Buy Michigan Now Fest in Northville

It kind of feels like MCC and Buy Michigan Now Festival grew up together. Kinda like cousins. We are going to have a really good time this coming Friday, August 5, from 5-??? at the beer tent downtown Northville. If you can't make it, but still want to check out all the cool Michigan stuff, show up whenever you do this weekend. It's a great time.

MCC Live West Side

We're heading back to the West Side (Novi) next Tuesday, August 9. We're going to have an extended introduction session. We'll have the typical ASK but instead of a presentation, we'll have facilitated conversation where we play "5 questions" to learn more how to help each other.
