"LIFE REMODELED" to 'Remodel' CODY HIGH this Summer!

Here's a fantastic way to 'PAY IT FORWARD' and show the nation that we "Detroiters" (including the suburbs) come together to help others in need!

This August, the non-profit "LIFE REMODELED" is planning to do the following in the "CODY/ROUGE" area of Detroit:

- Renovate many things inside and outside CODY HIGH SCHOOL (New roof; windows; electrical repairs, landscaping, a new multi-purpose football field/track; 3 new 'specialty' classrooms, painting, etc.)
- Remove the blight from the 100 city blocks surrounding the school
- Demolish 10 dangerous houses, and board up 100 others
- 'Remodel' 20 of the students' houses
- Renovate 2 elementary schools

We are looking for companies to partner with us (with material, labor, and financial donations), and for people/companies to volunteer to help. This is shaping up to be the LARGEST VOLUNTEER EFFORT of its kind in recent Detroit history!

We are currently starting some of the work, but most of it will happen August 11-17, 2014.
