Happy 7th Birthday Motor City Connect

I just sent this blast:

7 years ago today I started a yahoo group and named it Motor City Connect. I knew it would be a networking group that was destined to do some cool things in the Detroit area. As I look back on the past several years, I'm pretty sure we did.

It's been a great trip and I'm so ve ry grateful for the wonderful people I've met along the way. Many of you continue to inspire me. I just spent some time reading the posts that described our origins leading up to our massive 3rd birthday party in 2010. It was a great walk down memory lane.

It's kind of funny that message 4 starts by saying this is message 4 of 5 and I have yet to find message 5. I think it's most likely that I never wrote it.  That seems to be a great parable for how Motor City Connect has existed. There have been many great beginnings...but not a ton of closure. It's like a football team that gets 325 yards in the first half but only scores 4 field goals. 

There are new things coming. I have seen the direction for this group and it is very clear. However, I'm rather busy launching a new program called Click Click Car that will revolutionize the auto leasing business. We soft launch this month, and intend to go live in January. Once that gets wheels up (pun intended), I will be making some major changes here. Stay tuned for both.
