Welcome new members/training, Vote for Lisa Diggs and Tomorrow's lunch
I just sent this blast:
Hi-
We have been attracting quite a few new members as of late. Networking reminds me of "getting in shape" as it pertains to New Year's resolutions. Lots of people start off the new year on fire. Well, we hope to see many of you all year long.
In an effort to help you get "better connected" I invite you to explore these training videos on how to use the Motor City Connect site. Each video is about 5-8 minutes in length and will help you: fill out your profile, find the calendar and RSVP to events, use the search function, add discussions, join subgroups and more. Go take a look at one.
If you'd like additional help, or think a live class may be of value, let us know. We would be happy to host one for the group.
Vote for Lisa Diggs in the Detroit Chamber Contest
Lisa Diggs is one of our favorite Michiganders. She started Buy Michigan Now (host of the Buy Michigan Now Festival in Northville) a few years back and we just love to support her.
Recently she entered a tweet in the Detroit Chamber's Detroit Policy Conference contest. Her pro Detroit business tweet made it to the final four and she NEEDS your vote to win. Will you take 27 seconds and vote for her HERE. Please??

An option for the Troy area would be Picano's. That is where we have our monthly AFWA meetings. It costs $15 per person and they have private rooms at no additional charge. They are very accomodating. You can speak with Theresa and she will take care of everything.
Trisha-
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I'm really trying to keep Troy at offices as to have it be our "brown bag" lunch. I am kind of attached to that idea at the moment.
If I can't find anything I will certainly give them a call.
Have a great day!!
Terry
Terry,
We would be happy to host a "brown bag" luncheon at our Robert Half office in Troy. We are located at 305 W. Big Beaver, directly attached to Champps. How many attendees do you usually get?
