Speakers needed
It is my pleasure to coordinate speakers for a group of Human Resources executives each month. The challenge is presenting entertaining and informative programs, which is why I am turning to the wonderful resources of Motor City Connect.
Here is who we’d like to place in front of our HR professionals at one of our 2008 meetings:
1. Panelist of Asian-Pacific heritage to discuss their customs and traditions.
2. Recent veteran to discuss challenges of transitioning into the business community.
3. Religious leaders from a variety of religions to discuss effective handling of religious issues in the workplace (they will be panelists)
4. Anyone with a physical or mental disability that has a special talent (IE: outstanding memory, quick at math, overcome a handicap, etc.)
5. An attorney specializing in ADA.
6. A leader in the Native American community
This is an outstanding opportunity for you personally if you fit any of these descriptions. If you don’t look at this as an opportunity to give a referral to a networking friend that would like to show they are the expert in their field, especially when it comes to their culture.
