Home PC Repair

I need someone to look at my PC. We lost power during the storms and now it won't power back up. I'm hoping it's just the power unit and not the motherboard. I'm just looking for some suggestions on who I can call to take it too. I've met a few people through MCC but it's been a while and I can't remember their names.

Thanks

Charles

I do IT troubleshooting at my job and pride myself on hardware troubleshooting.  I'll diagnose it for free, and give you at least 3 options for repair.  I have an inventory of spare parts, and I do have a power supply tester.  It would help to know what the brand/model is, and I can let you know what we're dealing with as far as replacement cost if it is the power supply.  A common issue with lesser power supplies is that they don't protect the computer motherboard sufficiently from surges, so hopefully, your motherboard didn't take any of the spike.  If it is an expensive model, and it is severely damaged, you may be covered by your homeowners insurance.  My cell is 248.672.7464 - I work in Southfield and live in Rochester.  I will make a house call if it isn't too far out of the way!  Give me a call.
