Fortune 500 Manufacturing Companies Wanting to Close the Skill Gap
Looking to partner with VPs of Human Resources and Public Relations professionals from Fortune 500 Manufacturing Companies to create solutions for the skill gap in the growing manufacturing industry.
At Focus: HOPE we have been training machinists in our state-of-the-art facility for over 30 years. Now, thanks to a new grant, 18 - 24 year-olds are training as Machine and CNC Operators. The new program is a 12-week comprehensive program requiring 270 contact hours to successfully complete.
The graduates will be able to read blueprints, efficiently produce the work called for in the blueprint, and inspect the produced piece to insure that it meets specifications. The program places an emphasis on Computer Numeric Control (CNC) set-up and operations. Students will master shop theory, shop math, blueprint reading, communication and computer skills, and be proficient in the operation of manual lathes and mills, and the HAAS CNC lathes and mills.
In the coming months we will be training hundreds of students and assisting them in securing employment. The Machinist Training Institute at Focus: HOPE could be the answer to meet all of your hiring needs.
I would love to have the opportunity to meet with you to discuss how we might partner in this all-around win.
- Employers get qualified, eager employees, direct referrals, and no staffing fees.
- Graduates get an opportunity to embark on a new career path to improve their lives and future.
- Focus: HOPE continues to carry on the work of their founders in overcoming injustice and building communities where all people live in harmony.
- Michigan unemployment rates decreases by putting young people to work
Let's keep the manufacturing industry in its continued upward momentum. We can help. Please call for more information. 313-494-4491 or 313-494-4567
