Support the 2008 Walk For the Future (Boys & Girls Club)

I wanted to invite you to join me in supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Oakland County.  On Saturday, May 3, 2008, I will be a participant in the Club's 2008 Walk for the Future presented by Image One, Beaumont Hospitals and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. My personal goal is to raise $1,000.00 for the Club.  If you can help by making a contribution to my efforts, I would really appreciate it.

Why am I doing this?  The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Oakland County is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. This is a tall order, and I'm committed to making a difference.

The Boys and Girls Club provides a positive, safe environment where, through the programs, activities and services offered by caring Youth Development Professionals, Club members have the opportunity to develop feelings of competence, belonging, influence and usefulness.  The Club has demonstrated significant impact in the lives of youth by taking members from the Clubhouse to the White House, from the computer lab to the surgical center and from the ballfield to the major leagues.  Truly, the Club is transforming the lives of the youth who need us most.
