Holiday Meals on Wheels - April 16, 2008

Meals on Wheels is an organization that I hold a special place in my heart for...  My Great Grandmother, Gertrude (a.k.a. Gramma Gert) delivered Meals on Wheels to elderly people for over 20 years down in Florida.  When she was forced to "retire" from her duties and move up to Michigan to live with her son, the community she lived in was unable to find a replacement for her.  So, in the blink of an eye, all of the people she helped to deliver meals to instantly had nothing.

An event is coming up at Mountain Jack's in Rochester (2360 Rochester Court, Troy, MI 48098) on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 ("at dinner time") to help benefit the Holiday Meals on Wheels Program through the Area Agency on Aging 1-B.

I'm encourage you and your family to have dinner at Mountain Jack's in Troy on April 16th and 20% of your food and non-alcoholic beverage bill will be donated to the Holiday Meals on Wheels program.

If you are interested in having dinner, please feel free to email me and I will send you the flier.  You must bring the flier with you so that Meals on Wheels will receive your donation.
