I have found Google Talk to be a great IM service. If you would like to, put your Google ID up here so that people can chat while at their computers. Mine is Phishybass@gmail.com I dont check that email address so dont bother sending me email there.

A very useful tool for me is Skype - it's got call-out functionality for a low extra price, and I've seen plenty of sales people use it as an auto-dialer to cue up their next person and place calls at a very, very reasonable rate. IMHO, Skype is the strongest of the competitors in the class for business purposes.
But I should re-open GTalk - it's been a long time. Habits are hard to break :-)
