It's the right thing to do

Over the past few months I have been delivering a presentation entitled "It's the Right Thing to Do". This talk features two of my local favorites John George of Blightbusters and Menachem Kniespeck of Operation: Kid Equip (check out Backpackpalooza and be a difference maker).

Both of these men have a vision for a greater Detroit. They both work tirelessly at it every day. They are stars in our community. They don't do it for the fame. They don't do it for the glory. They do what they do for one reason, cuz it's the right thing to do.

Be the change we wish to see in Detroit!

Join us for the #bustup (click that link to RSVP) NEXT Saturday June 25th. This will be an opportunity to do something great for your network AND OUR community. We are thinking about ordering Tee Shirts that say "Be the change we wish to see in Detroit" and using this as a fundraiser. Would you be interested in such a shirt?

Also, we are looking for a couple of sponsors to offset the cost of dumpsters and some musical acts. If your company ponies up $500-1000 I believe we can get you some nice mentions on Channel 7 Action News (not to mention a TON of social media mentions)

The greatest gift

By far the biggest blessing in my life is my child, Drea. Many thanks to Stephanie Styron for making me a father. A big "Way to go Dad" to all of the fathers in MCC land. On the off chance you're a "dad" and not being a good father...get to it cuz it's the right thing to do! Enjoy Father's Day.

Thinking about speed networking

I've been invited to TONS of speed networking events. I don't think they've been done correctly. I think I could put together a MUCH BETTER event. Would you have an interest in attending? Let me know.

June 28th in Royal OAK is MCC LIVE

That's right, the next MCC live is in Royal Oak 3 days after the BUSTUP! What should we discuss? Do you have any burning questions on effective networking? Let us know. These events are growing in attendance and adding lots of value to participants. You should consider attending. I hear Royal Oak is beautiful this time of year ;-)
