BIG news Save the date(s)

I just sent this blast:

I got the BEST tweet EVER the other day. It came from Stephen Clark  of Channel 7 action News fame. It said: "I have an idea you can help with. what if we do a backchannel house tear-down with blight busters some weekend?"

My immediate response was:

"That will be the biggest energy shift in Detroit we've ever seen if we do it right. I got chills. You? Sometime in July?"

And BOY are we gonna do this right!!! In June, not July.

I can't even tell you fully what we have planned yet because it's not yet fully planned ;-) But the ideas are swimming. We think we are going to put together a street party, complete with music, food and coverage from Channel 7. This will be a BIG time. Oh, and while we are down there we will be filling up some dumpsters and tearing down a cracked out house or two...can't get to far from our roots. LOL

Movie Premiere to support Operation: Kid Equip

The Art of Power movie is being released and they are donating a significant amount of the income from their May 22nd screening to Operation: Kid Equip. This will be a great way to see something fresh and support this wonderful organization. Details can be found HERE.

The Next MCC Live

Will take place in Royal Oak at BDs Mongolian Grill on Tuesday, May 24th. We hope to see you RSVP HERE. We have been averaging 24 members at the last 3 meetings. It would be great to see over 30 smiling faces who are willing, ready and able to HELP you!
