The times they are a changin...
Although I missed our lunch yesterday, I got a very cool update about it. There were four companies looking to hire and only 1 person looking for work (they happened to have an MBA as well). Think how much different this is than just two years ago. It's a pretty exciting time to be in Detroit.

Operation: Kid Equip Fundraiser
THIS is going to be a very good time. Some new friends are hosting a private screening of a film they just released on May 22 from 2:00-5:00 in the historic Farmington Civic Theater (I'm not sure if it's historic, but I know my mom worked there in high school, shhh don't tell her I said that). They will be splitting the proceeds 50/50 with Operation: Kid Equip so OKE can continue to serve those children in our area who need it most!

This movement is really gaining positive traction. Why? Because it is sooooo very important to our region that we have a strong Detroit. We can't do so without collaboration. MCC Live(S)
The next official MCC Live is scheduled for 5/24 in Royal Oak at BD's. We are working on launching a new MCC Live in fabulous Ferndale. It may be as soon as next week. There is also talks of moving from Novi to Livonia. What do you think of that? Feel free to suggest where you would like us to be. After all, this is your group!!

Re: Novi to Livonia ....
For personal reasons (since I'm about 2 miles from the current Novi location), I hope its not moved to Livonia.
I think it goes without saying...but I would love to have an MCC meeting in Ferndale once a month!
I am curious as to why most of these things are held in Oakland county and not much goes on in Macomb county. I hardly see anything that takes place in Sterling Heights or Chesterfield or Warren areas--wondering why that is? I would be able to come to more things if some were in these areas, which would help us business owners in these areas. Thoughts?
