Hey peeps an MCC"er needs our help. Becks Davis has a chance to win a dream job with our help. Whomever gets the job is determined by votes. Just think if each and every one of us just spent thirty seconds and voted by accessing the following link that would mean thousands of votes for Becks. She's a great lady and brings a lot of sunshine to our lives with Detroit Moxie, can we give a little back to her? I just wanted to share a little story about the power of this group. A few years back MCC got involved with a effort to win a mobile play station for Children's Hospital. There were 9 other hospitals in the competition. There were about 300 MCC members back then, but we started voting day after day and soon CHM went from 20% down to the lead spot. Great ha! Not so fast. Soon a little town down South (Houston) appeared on the horizon and overtook Detroit. They got about 2% ahead of us and stayed there till about 2 days before the end of the contest. We kept plugging away and shortly before the end of the contest got some local media attention and won the contest by 1.8%. 300 people with a task and a goal in mind helped put the project over the top!
We have over ten times that number of members now and one of our own needs our help. I don't know how many of you know Becks Davis but if you do I'm sure you have been impacted by her ever present smile and overwhelmingly positive attitude. She is the Author of "Detroit Moxie" a blog that informs us about all the wonderfull things happening around Detroit. When I'm looking for things to see or do, I know where to find them. She is also a strong supporter of "Blood, Sweat & Gear" a fine MCC effort to give back to the community. BS&G is a major event each year but is also active throughout the year with "Operation Kid Equip" etc. Again, Becks is a strong supporter of BS&G and numerous other charitable efforts as well.
Becks needs our help. She has a chance to win a dream job bloging for "Nature Made". It's a "good mood blog" and if anyone is an example of a good mood person it's our friend Becks. She is behind now. Behind significantly and needs our help. Just think if we can join together and click on a link once a day, more if you have a work computer we can help to pur our friend Becks over the top.
