This Friday Donate Clothes at my office

Compassionate Friends,

There is a group of 6 homes in Detroit called "Transition" homes where the occupants are considered 'Intensive' because they require both medication as well as a long term shelter.  These transition homes are where people are picked up off the street by the Police, evaluated briefly and put up for only a few days. Social workers try to meet with them if  they don't walk away from the shelter. 

As I found out, these homes are desperate for suitable survival clothing. They experience shortages all the time.

The statistics indicate -  Each shelter has approx 65 people per month (more men than women)

• Average 45+ years old or older.

Lee Grant, who coordinates the activity in the "Gateway" shelters off Webb Street has asked me if we had ANY men's clothing - and women's coats.

 We are only looking to collect the following (both Men & Women):

• 1.     T-Shirts


• 2.     Sweatshirts


• 3.     Jeans


• 4.     Tennis Shoes or boots


• 5.     Socks


• 6.     COATS


• 7.     Winter Hats / Gloves

***Please donate at my office this Friday at 1235 N. Main Street - Downtown Rochester, MI 48307 anytime between 9am - 5pm
