The BIG Food Drive August 14th - We Need your Help!
The BIG Food Drive for the Rochester Community Kitchen / House is looking for donations from now til August 14th (the day of the event) ie. non parishables, paper products, soaps, & cleaners. We / I can collect throughout the week & or you can drop off at 816 Ludlow in Rochester - Thank you in advance for your support.
Main List of what is needed for the FOOD DRIVE for the Rochester Community Kitchen / Community House. You can Drop off at the Community House / Kitchen now at anytime or wait for the main FOOD DRIVE August 14th 2010. The items are always needed so don't feel as if you need to wait for the food drive to make a difference.
- canned soups
- canned fruit
- snacks of any kind
- macaroni and cheese
- Chef Boyardee product: Ravioli, mac & cheese, mini-meatballs
- Canned tuna
- peanut butter
- crackers
- cookies
- cheeses of any type
- Margarine
- pasta of any type
- spaghetti sauces or anything to
- Mix with the pastas
- pancake mix and pancake syrups
- canned veggies
- canned potatoes,
- anything in a can...or a foil pack...any kind of snack or product foil packed...easy to pack in a bag and always a joy to receive

Community Kitchen Offers Sunday Dinners
The "Community Kitchen" at Rochester Community House is still going strong. With the help of local churches and non-profits, Sunday dinner is provided to many low-income families and seniors on the 3rd Sunday of the month. There is no charge for this dinner but space is limited and reservations are required.
Bring the famiily for a buffet style dinner complete with linen tablecloths and floral centerpieces in a banquet room at Rochester Community House. It is an enjoyable community gathering for both diners and volunteers.

had a great meeting today with the Rochester Chamber, a 35 person PCN group, and my fellow chamber Ambassadors today about the BIG food drive August 14th... we've put 20 boxes in local businesses for donations of the above items as well as raised $220 for the cause as well.
Please take some time this Saturday, next Saturday or throughout the week to donate and or spread the word - The need is here people...
