Comedy Show for Pistons Care Telethon
Comedy Show for Pistons Care Telethon on Wednesday, February 17 at 7pm
Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual Comedy Show supporting the Pistons Care Telethon. This year all the proceeds will go directly to the Food Bank Council of Michigan helping Michigan Residents in Critical Need.
The Palace Sports & Entertainment have partnered with Mark Ridley of Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle in Royal Oak. Wednesday, February 17 @ 7:00pm, we will be hosting the comedy show. There will be 5 of local Detroit's funniest comedians (an all new line-up this year for those that came out and supported last year). Last year's show was a success and this year my goal is the double the attendance and double the donation to this very important cause.
I need YOUR help in spreading the word to all of your co-workers, friends, family, neighbors, Facebook contacts, etc. The admission is only $15. The doors open at 6:00pm and starts at 7:00pm and goes to 8:30pm (so it's not going to be a late night). Line up those babysitters now! More information forthcoming in the weeks ahead, but I wanted to start spreading the word and ask for your support for this show.
So MARK those calendars. This is a great opportunity to spend some time with family and friends all while helping out a great cause!
Thanks for the support!
Keith Stonehouse

proceeds benefit 2010 pistons care teleThon
Palace Sports & Entertainment is hosting a "Night of Laughs" at Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle in Royal Oak on Wednesday, Feb. 17 to benefit the Food Bank Council of Michigan (FBCM) through the 2010 Pistons Care Telethon. Admission is $15 and proceeds will support Michigan families, children, seniors and the homeless in critical need of food.
Showtime is 7 p.m. and tickets for the event can be purchased in advance online at www.comedycastle.com or by phone at 248/542-9900. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. Ages 18 and up are welcome.
Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle is located at 269 East Fourth Street in downtown Royal Oak.
Mark Ridley and the comedians donated their time for the use of the Comedy Castle in support of the Pistons Care Telethon. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the show features five Detroit comedians; Phenecia Banks, Martin Butler, Paul Pizakis, Nate Fridson and Michael McDaniel.
The 2010 Pistons Care Telethon benefiting FBCM will take place on Tuesday, Mar. 2. The team is devoting the entire day leading up to the Pistons' game against the Boston Celtics, including their in-arena presentation and game broadcasts, to raise money for FBCM. The telethon begins at 6 a.m. with live radio and television broadcasts at The Palace and runs throughout the day, culminating with Pistons-Celtics game at 7:30 p.m., broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit and 97.1 The Ticket.
For every $1 donated, the FBCM will provide five meals to those in need. Just $10 feeds a family for a week, $100 provides a student with a backpack that is refilled throughout the school year and $200 feeds a senior for an entire year. For more information about the telethon or to donate online, please visit www.pistons.com.
