ASK - Job search; entry-level engineer; battery company desired

Hello everyone,

I'm searching for an entry-level mechanical engineering position. The new battery companies that are locating offices in Michigan are doing some fascinating work. I'm very interested in getting my foot in the door at a battery company somewhere, but thus far I have struggled to make any solid connections. Anyone know of someplace that could make use of an entry-level engineer?

I graduated from Lawrence Tech in Southfield (3.49 GPA; honor societies) in 2007 and then worked 2 years as a religious volunteer (living in Phoenix and Atlanta for one year each). My religious work was not related to engineering, just a virtuous act I felt appropriate for that stage of my life. I've been in the area since the summer, working as a valet on the weekends to pay my expenses, living with my parents. Any leads for battery related work would be most appreciated.
