Special Thanks from Operation: Kid Equip

This morning, the GOAL! 2010 participants raised enough funds during the 'pass the hat' to provide every third grader in Clawson with a new dictionary! WTG goal seekers! Special thanks to Motor City Connect and Curve Detroit for including the kids of Operation: Kid Equip in this event. :)

As this year closes, Operation: Kid Equip is especially grateful to Terry Bean and all Motor City Connect members for your ongoing support of our efforts throughout 2009.

As the 'Gear' portion of Blood, Sweat & Gear, you worked together and helped volunteer, held drives and raised funds for our incredibly busy back-to-school season.

While we are still auditing our numbers and figures, our preliminary reports indicate that Operation: Kid Equip distributed school supplies and books to more than 14,000 children between August 1 and December 31, 2009. Most of the children were from Oakland County and other areas in southeastern Michigan that are not traditionally known for high poverty numbers.

We are grateful for all of the opportunities you have made possible for Operation: Kid Equip throughout the year. We were able to achieve all of our milestones with your help, support and investment into our future.

Thanks again! We look forward to continuing our relationships with you in 2010 and beyond.
