The Boy's & Girl's Club Holiday Wish List

Hello fellow Motor City Connect Members, as you know the Boys & Girls Club is very near to my heart as it has been since I was 6 yrs old. Since 1926, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan (originally the Boys' Club of Detroit) has provided high quality youth development programs, sporting activities, events, assistance with schooling, and a safe haven for children from all walks of life. In addition, the Clubs have been credited with "saving lives" of children who often have no one to turn to in times of family problems, poverty, failing grades and other difficult situations. The Clubs - directors, professional staff and volunteers - are here to help children ages 6 to 18 grow into responsible, self-reliant and caring individuals. This is the toughest of times for the clubs in their existence losing major corporate sponsors, donations, etc it is making it hard to even pay the bills... The club needs you - Please read below and if you can make a donation in these struggling times for a club that does so much for our youth - our next generation.

Holiday Wish List

Wilson Club P.O. Box 214169, Auburn Hills, MI 48321. We are in a real cash crunch due to the economy, so money donations would be greatly appreciated.

2. Gamesroom items needed: Pool Sticks, short ones for bumper pool, longer ones for regular billiards(pool). Pool stick tips. Tarp, 8foot by 4 foot to cover air hockey game. 4square balls (3) soft play balls 8" round found in most grocery stores. Rubber pig used in steal the bacon game. Ping Pong paddles. Fisher - Price mini basketball hoop-self standing adjustable hoop adjusts from 3-5 feet.


3. Art Room Items - Paint brushes, colored pencils, glue sticks and gallon containers of glue, individual glue bottles, Acrylic paint, Tempura paint, modeling clay, toothpicks and popsicle sticks for sculptures, Art markers and illustration markers, Gift certificate from Dick Blick art supply in Dearborn, MI we get some of our art materials from there, small and large sketch pads.


4. Physical Education items - Flag belts and flag sets for flag football 24 for each team 48 total. Gator skin dodgeballs both smaller and larger 8" size 6 of each size. Orange cones for basketball drills large size (12). Foam skinned soccerballs don't hurt when get hit. (4).


5. Learning Center - Pens, Pencils, DVD Jeopardy Game.


6. Office Supplies - White copy paper (2 cases).

Variety of copy paper in various colors (2 reams of each color), scotch tape-plenty of rolls), 3 hole punch ours is broken, large binder clips, jumbo paper clips.

1. X Box 360 game - plus games Guitar Hero and DJ Hero.


2. Nutritious snacks that will keep like granola bars, 100% Welches grape juice, nuts, trail mix etc. for members that do not have money for snacks.


3. Bop it game, any table games Sorry, Monopoly, Connect Four etc.
