Your picture may be worth 1000 referrals
Well, maybe not a 1000 referrals, but it’s certainly worth something. Imagine your at a networking event and you meet 7 great people. One of them asks for your card later in the event and you are out of cards (it’s ok, it happens). You tell them you’re on Motor City Connect and they can look you up there. Well, they remember your first name is Julie and do a search on Julie and find that there are 27 Julies on Motor City Connect. 13 of them definitely aren’t the Julie (you) they were seeking. They know this because the pictures don’t match. Now they have to guess which of the 14 left are you because they all look exactly the same. The boring silhouette you see when someone doesn’t post a photo. Don’t do that to your network and especially yourself. Post a photo already. Here’s how:
Go to “My Settings” near the top on the right hand side of the page. Once there, hit “My Profile” and scroll down to “Professional Photo”. Click “Add a new photo” and the system will prompt you to pick a picture from the photos you have on your hard drive. Pick one that represents you and get it uploaded.
Here’s the secret, we ALL look good in photos on this site. They’re smaller than a postage stamp (you remember postage stamps, right?). Get it uploaded. Do the same for this site and all of your networking sites. We do business with people! A photo humanizes you.
Thank you Ms. Esthy-
While I don’t have a lot of experience in the world of “waxing” I know someone who does. And Tiffany was gracious enough to be one of the sponsors of the Blood, Sweat & Gear Campaign. We really appreciate that.
What’s makes her business a different is that many of her clients are men. Who knew that they were getting waxed too. Sounds like fun and maybe a little painful at the same time. HERE is a link to my thank you note and HERE is the link to the website.
Speaking of keeping a clean house
HERE are two pretty quick and cool videos of the work we did on Saturday during the SWEAT portion of Blood, Sweat & Gear.
Want to support the Boys and Girls Club and play a round of golf?

I'm not all that familiar with Ann Arbor restaurants but have you tried BD's Mongolian BBQ, Buffalo Wild Wings or Paesano's Restaurant?
Could always try Zingerman's Roadhouse. They might show some interest.
Just registered for your Facebook class. The Twitter one was fantastic! Can't wait to learn more...
Thanks Terry for mention of the Boys & Girls Clubs Golf outing - tee sponsors needed for Monday and or Foursomes.
As for Ann Arbor I am not too familiar with A2 as I am a Spartan but have heard good things about Paesano's Restaurant.
Also, I could not agree more about the commentary on having a picture posted - It is so important as I am face person and not so much a name person. Great post!
Thanks,
Keith Stonehouse
