Great group outing that will support HAVEN

ATTEND A MIXER THAT MATTERS FOR HAVEN: August 13 at Tom's Oyster Bar in Royal Oak

PONTIAC, MICHIGAN, August 5, 2009...Summer evenings are the perfect time to mix and mingle with friends after work. On Thursday, August 13 HAVEN of Oakland County suggests that you mix pleasure with a cause and attend a Stay & Play Social Club "Mixer that Matters", a fundraiser at Tom's Oyster Bar in Royal Oak.

Those visiting Tom's Oyster Bar will make a $15 donation at the door, a portion of which will go to HAVEN. In turn they receive a $25 gift card from www.restaurants.com. They will also get the chance to enter a drawing for a one hour message from Elements Therapeutic Massage in Royal Oak. Elements is also donating a matching gift to HAVEN and will be offering chair massages on site.

The Mixer that Matters takes place from 6-8PM on Thursday August 13 at Tom's Oyster Bar, 318 S Main St, Royal Oak, MI 48067. Tom's Oyster bar has extended special food and drink specials just for the evening. Attire is casual.

HAVEN raises funds in a variety of ways including events hosted by area businesses and organizations. The Mixer on August 13 is an example of local businesses partnering with the non profit to raise awareness and funds while creating a unique social opportunity to mix with people interested in making a difference.

The event, presented by Stay & Play Social Club is sponsored in part by Elements Spa of Royal Oak.

Monies raised go to HAVEN in their efforts to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault across Oakland County and the surrounding communities through treatment and prevention services.

HAVEN has been working towards eliminating domestic violence and sexual assault by building violence-free communities one family at a time for over thirty-years.
