Welcome Back MCC- Some events, a quick rant and are you coming to the party? Leave now if so ;-)
I just sent this blast:
A lot of hard work, generosity and energy went into making last week a success. We did a great thing for our community. I am very proud of the MCCers who stepped up and took the challenge head on. It was nice to see new and old friends giving BLOOD. It was even better to stand toe to toe with a lot of different people SWEATing it out. I am most excited to get the final tally on the GEAR we were able to amass (it was a LOT) All in all it was a great week. It saddens me a little that no one got shot, kidnapped or required a bailout. I kid, but that way we would have gotten some TV time. Does anyone else see something wrong with this? It’s really sad to me what makes news in this town. Ever wonder why we keep sinking? Time to turn OFF the local news or demand that they spend equal time promoting the great things that happen here (here’s Terry stepping off of his soapbox and sliding it under the desk). Join us for the after partay Today at 4:00 we will be at Meriwethers in Southfield for the celebration. We will meet, mingle celebrate our successes and share some stories. Details HERE Thank you National Insurance Advisors We really appreciate your sponsorship of our event. I actually met Shawna of NIA through my good friend Linda Anger. If you as an individual or as part of a small company are looking for health insurance or just have questions about it, contact NIA. HERE is my note thanking them. Want to get your PLAY on? The phantom of the opera is here (well, almost) Next month, the Phantom returns to the Detroit Opera House. Would anyone like to go as a group? I have already worked on group pricing for either September 8,9 or 10. Who’s interested? Want to Learn how to Learn? Kimberly Kassner, author of “You’re a Genius and I can Prove it” will be leading our Novi lunch tomorrow. Get ready to be amazed. Details HERE. I hear the East side looks lovely in the morning Our Sterling Hts meeting is back on, but at a new place with a new time. Lori Maceri of Soup & Scoop delighted the crew at Blightbusters last Wednesday and will no doubt do the same this Thursday for our first East side breakfast meeting. If the sun can start its day over there, maybe you can too. Click HERE for details. Thanks for being a part of Motor City Connect. Do tell us what we can do for you. As always, we look forward to seeing you online, face to face and in our community. Be Great and Be Connected- Terry Bean |
