Ready to laugh while you support the CF Fondation? Then join us this Sunday, August 2, at the Lewis Black show at the Fillmore Theatre in Detroit. While Lewis is in Detroit he'll be introducing audiences to CF with the help of our very own Emily Schaller. The Detroit show will also be part of Black's upcoming concert film and will surely help draw the nation's attention to cystic fibrosis. All proceeds will benefit the CF Foundation. Who is Lewis Black? Lewis Black is an internationally known stand-up comedian, author and actor. Lewis performs over 200 nights a year to sold out audiences throughout Europe, New Zealnd, Canada and The United States. It has been said that Black is "one of the most prolific and popular performers working today." Along with his ability to make audiences laugh out loud Lewis Black is also a long time supporter and friend of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Black has performed at the Foundation's Ulitmate Golf Experience fundraiser and has named the CF Foundation one of his charities of choice.
Restrictions * Individuals who purchase a $75 VIP ticket through the CF Foundation may choose to attend a fall event of their choice from the following events: Moonlight and Martinis, Climb to a Cure, 2nd Annual Ann Arbor Wine Opener, 2nd Annual Run for the 65 Roses and 6th Annual Lansing Area Wine Opener. **Individuals purchasing the $75 VIP ticket must RSVP for their chosen fall event NO LATER THAN August 17, 2009 by calling the CF Foundation's office at 248-269-8759. ***Individuals who have already purchased a ticket to a fall event may purchase the VIP ticket for $75 less the amount already paid for the fall event. |

This is because B. cepacia can be passed between individuals who have CF through close proximity. B. cepacia infection in a person with CF can cause serious respiratory illness and, in some patients, may lead to death.
