Be A Tiger For Kids Event to Host Tigers Alumni Meet and Greet

to be On-Hand For Special Autograph Session

What:          On August 18th, the race for the AL Central pennant heats up as the Detroit Tigers hosts the Seattle Mariners along with Cornerstone Schools and their fans for the 4^th Annual "Be A Tiger For Kids" event, which raises much-needed money for the school's scholarship fund.

                   Tigers greats Gates Brown and Willie Horton and 1984 World Series Champions Dave Bergman, Dan Petry and Dave Rozema will be present at the Rock-N-Roar pre-game tailgate for a special meet and greet and autograph session.

                        These former Tigers alumni will autograph an official MLB baseball for a $50 donation to Cornerstone Schools to be collected at the tailgate.

Please Note: No personal items will be autographed and photographs with players are prohibited.

"The "Be a Tiger for Kids" event will be a memorable experience," said Cornerstone CEO and Founder Clark Durant. "Having an opportunity to meet Willie Horton and the 1984 World Champions at the Rock-N-Roar tailgate is something Tiger fans won't want to miss."

Cornerstone Schools, an independent school association, has been serving Detroit families since 1991, when they started out with 167 students in two schools.  Cornerstone serves students in grades Pre-K - 8^th.  Every student entering 3^rd grade receives a violin and learns how to play it. The school tracks their 8^th grade graduates, and 95% of them have graduated high school.
