You took the first step...MCC is a great place to be! Be active online and at meetings. Look for common grown. Look for people you can help as well as people that can help you.
Attend some classes by |Terry Bean about networking and the social media aspect of it. He REALLY knows what he's talking about! And he's entertaining too!

Sort through those cards. Find the (minimum) ten people with whom you want to build a relationship. Give them a call and set up a "get to know you" meeting.
Look for ways you can help them achieve their goals before you ask them to help you with yours.
