Do you want my simple definitition of what networking is??

I'll assume you do or why would you be reading this? Simply stated, "Networking is leveraging the relationships you have to create the relationships you need". What does that mean to you? A couple of things: 1. You need to be a most excellent person with the people you know. It is far less likely for people to help you if they don't think you're a good person. Loosely translated, always be ready to assist others when you can. 2. You need to know how others can be of assistance to you and be comfortable sharing that information. It's ok to ask for help whether you are seeking a new client, business partner, employee or job. Formulate a quick, concise and specific message and be ready to tell people how they can help when they ask you. 3. Put yourself in a position where you were likely to meet new folks and be able to make some introductions. This is a great way to establish credibility.
