14 Yr old Auburn Hills boy took his own life Thursday Evening
An amazing young man of the age of 14 from the Boy's & Girl's Club of Auburn Hills & Avondale High School tragically decided to take his own life Thursday Evening @ his home also in Auburn Hills. Lanre Lee was a dynamic young man always looking out for others and loved by all. I personally knew him from the club and coached in his basketball league and am now coaching his close friends who have been torn apart from this tragedy at such a young age!
RIP Lanre Lee. - We will miss you...
- Please send any & all donations for the family to arrange the funeral Saturday & BEYOND to Lanre's Mother, (checks made out to) Santrice McPherson to 370 Vista North - Auburn Hills, MI 48326 (my address) where I will get everything to her. Anything would be a great help - THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thank You, Keith Stonehouse

Thank You to Brian King of Sports Authentics, Terry Bean of Networked Inc, and Graziella Bruner of Coldwell Banker Realty for your kind donations for the family of Lanre Lee for his Saturday morning funeral in Detroit.
So much appreciated!
Hi Keith,
I am soo, so sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with you and his family. Unfortunately, suicide among young people is an all too common occurrence and even more so right now with the economy as bad as it is locally.
I just wanted to mention that the organization that I work for offers a Survivors of Suicide Support Group for friends and family of loved ones who have taken their lives. If you would like to pass this along to the family, feel free to do so. I'm not trying to make a push for my agency, I'm just trying to offer help. They may not want to talk to someone now but in the following months to come may feel the need. We also have Crisis workers and counselors that can go out to the high schools to talk to the other students who are feeling a loss and left behind. You would want to call Lisa Turbeville, at 248-451-2610 or Shawn Force at 248-451-2611. Or if you would want me to have one of them call you, I can do that as well.
Once again I am so sorry and will spread the word about the family donations.

I joined the sight just to reply to your story. Thank you so much for being a part of Lanre's life. I am his Godmother and as you can imagine, this is devastating for us all. He was a light that was brilliant for all of us. His passing away Friday was one of the hardest things we have ever had to endure. Basketball and the club were two of his most favorite things...so for making a difference in his amazing life..I want to say on behalf of the family..We thank you very much. We appreciate all of the love and support. It means the world in this time of undeniable tragedy.
I have a 6 yr old son he is my only child he is my heart and soul so i could not even imagine what the parents of the 14 yr old boy is going through but my heart goes out to them, It's always a reminder that our children are the Future and we need to charish our future. I will donate, Sincrely: John Ramirez
