Our friend Lori Maceri, owns a cool little joint in Sbelby Twp. and has been nominated for a big award given by channel 4.
She would really like your support so she prove just how "hot" her soup really is.
Please pass on the voting to your friends for Maceri's Soup & Scoop, Pitas & Subs in the best Soup Category at

Gonna vote again now.
Thank you every who has voted. A little about our company. We are a homemade fresh soup company serving from a variety of 150. The Maceri family has been a staple in Detroit's Eastern market produce industry since 1936. Together my husband and I have 65 years in the foodservice industry. I started creating soup at Tom Maceri's Fruit Market which we owned and operated on Detroit's eastside. This year we are celebrating 25 years of soup and sub making. We also have a history in the restaurant industry, not just suppling them. My husband also grew up with his mother owning a pizzeria in Grosse Pte Woods where they served pizza, pasta, lasagna, and oven baked subs in starting in the mid 1970's. I grew up living with my Italian grandma, who helped her mother, Angelina, operate her restaurant in Detroit, Mazzola's Restaurant in the 1940 later relocating to Tucson Arizona until they retired in the 1970's. Learning to cook from family traditions is what we do at Maceri's Soup & Scoop for our extended customer family. Growing up learning to cook and feed people, which is what Italians love to do, my desire is to feed people. We recently feed 500 at Soup City in Detroit at the Gem Theatre to benefit COTS. It was great. I am working on feeding the homeless on the streets. I am also putting together a Relay 4 Life team for the Clinton Township relay May 16.
Thanks again for your help,

Maceri's is in second place behind Zoup. Zoup has 30% of the vote and Maceri's has 27%. Maceri's needs some help to close the gap. Anyone who has not voted please vote. What goes aroiund comes around.
