Donate & Recycle Wireless Products for Charity
Recycling for Charities (RFC) in Royal Oak and online ( http://www.recyclingforcharities.com ) is gearing up for Earth Day this year and calling out to all MCC members to take part in recycling old cell phones, PDA's, iPods and digital cameras to benefit local and national charities.
All donations are tax deductable since RFC is a 501(2)(3) non-profit organization. Making a donation online allows you to select the charity of choice, enter information and receive a shipping label and tax receipt all at one. Then you just drop the items in the mail or off at our location in Royal Oak. You benefit charities and the environment all at once.

Do the devices have to be working or do they get refurbished before distribution?
Thanks, Dwight!
I just set up a donation of an old cell phone. Just FYI for everyone here, Operation: Kid Equip is on the list of charities you can select to receive the proceeds of your donation. Obviously, I picked it!
And Renee - the site says it doesn't matter whether they are working or not, as long as they are not "broken." If they find the item is broken, they will dispose of it appropriately, at no cost to you.
Make your day magnificent!
Linda
Great post Dwight!
I have donated a few phones to this organization and selected a charity that means quite a bit to us.
Please consider selecting the Michigan Animal Adoption Network
