Things MCC members should know (the calendar edition)
I just sent this blast:
|
The things you should know blasts In an effort to get more people using the site, we need to take the mystery out of using it. Over the next few weeks we will be sending blasts that talk about different best practices for using the Motor City Connect site. This first one will talk about the Calendars and provide a schedule of upcoming events. Don't be surprised if you get a few extra e-mails from us over the next month.
Meet. Understand. Connect.
Sure it's easy to find one of them, heck there are actually two different links for it. That's the main calendar. The one that will tell you about ALL of the Motor City Connect sanctioned events. You click on the calendar link and it takes you there. You can scroll through for a specific event or just to see what is happening every Thursday. When you get to an event that interests you, click that box. You will see a nice description, including time, date, location and what the event is. As you scroll lower you will have the opportunity to RSVP. RSVP is important because in addition to letting us know how many folks will be there, it allows each of us to be strategic in our networking time. Calendar two is located under the "important" section and is titled "networking events". This Calendar is available for you to see all of the other events going on in town. You will find LBN, BNI, SNG, Insights, Toastmasters and a heck of a lot more. If you would like your event to be here, send an e-mail to Motorcity@gmail.com that includes: contact info, date, time, location and a brief description. We will take care of the rest. Online. Offline. In the community. The FUN ones: Join MCC as we head down to Detroit to laugh and learn (well, maybe not learn) about the days in King Arthur's Court. We are heading to SPAMALOT on Wednesday, February 11. We are also doing some research (yeah, I said research) about a wine tasting and "going to work" or at least to a Piston's Game. Both events will be announced soon. But don't be shy, if this sounds of interest to you, let us know! Tuesday:
Any of you solopreneurs interested in joining us for a quazi- Monday morning board meeting? We can gather, discusses the challenges for the coming week, define the goals and outcomes and go kick some major butt? If you're interested either join the discussion, or send us an e-mail. We will be adding several new events to the calendar this week. We are adding days of lunch (and moving some of the current ones). We intend to add two more breakfast meetings and a couple of more play events. Heck, we even have part of the summer schedule figured out ;-) BTW, next Wednesday, February 4, MCC Live comes to the D. Join us at the Penobscot Building. While we plan to talk about using the discussion board, the search features, building cool profiles, objectives and more, we want to know what YOU want to know. Tell us how we can help you use this site better. The better we all get at using it, the better it becomes for all of us. Have a great week everyone. Be attrACTING- Terry Bean
Together, we are doing great things.
