Are you Opening Your Money Umbrella?
You should have your own money umbrella and open it EVERYDAY!
Congratulations! If you are reading this you are one step closer to making more money in 2009 because you have discovered the world wide web of community! If you are Linked In, FaceBooked, Twittered or ActiveRained today you are at least in the environment of experiencing a new and exciting approach to reaching out!
Money is tight all around us and there is no better place than these FREE sites to post events, business meetings and be visible. Of course in FaceBook you can share anything from your daily agenda, family pictures, aha moments and share a personality with all of your friends from Italy to Texas! In the rain you can post your real estate related business and network with the best agents in world. Linked In and Twitter appear to recycle both communities and I am sure everyday there are new world and new doors for us open!
Just remember the door is WIDE OPEN! These communities are honestly a FREE BNI! I am a believer in the network idea of BNI but look at what you can do when you apply your career, your unlimited network of friends and EXPOSURE without paying fees!
You can open your money umbrella in the rain, the snow, the sunshine...You can open this money umbrella on the beach, in a coffee shop, in your home, on your phone - oh this list could just go on an on!
I want to leave you with this...
Most limitations are created by what you fear, not what you can't do!
Anything is possible when you open the door to share and network!
Just a little food for thought today! Make it a great day today...because YOU CAN!

Thanks Keith... isn't that so true.
I have a funny story about the entire Social Media thing. I added a PR person to my Linked In profile, he found me on Twitter, then I added him on FB. Turns out that we are meeting to discuss PR in the new year. Just because he told me that he keeps running into me EVERYWHERE on these social networks.
I am starting a new internship partly because of the social networks and partly because of my strong connection. What happened was that I posted that I needed a new idea for a NON profit. I was searching for them on my own. My connection from high school, contacted one of her old employees that is working for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and now I am a PR/Media Relations/Social Media intern for them.
Though it wasn't all the social networks, my interview helped and the information I provided, but it was a good starting point. You never know what you can discover once you are posted on these networks.
Wonderful. This is all new to me. But being the social person that I am, I am finding it more and more exciting to connect to people through this medium. It is extremely motivating to see all the people so active on MCC and other sites.
I do believe this is the way of the future. And YES, the DOOR IS WIDE OPEN.
