A fantastic Jazz event

Hey there MCC,

A very close friend (and co-worker) of mine by the name of Cary Heller is a fantastic Jazz Trumpet player. You may remember an old local band called Jazodity. They were big in the jazz and funk scene here in Detroit and they toured nationally with Ray Charles.

Anyway Cary has a new project called the Cary Heller Quintet. And they are playing at Bakers Keyboard Lounge every Sunday in December and November.

The first Sunday of December (the 7^th) is a special tribute to his brother who passed away 2 years ago. They created a foundation in his memory and are helping numerous people in Michigan with this foundation. There is no cover charge for this event, but they are taking donations at the door.

As a music lover, I thought you may want to know about this event. Feel free to pass it along. But I will tell you now. The room will be full very quickly. So get there early, and tell anyone you invite to get there early.

As we approach the two year anniversary of the death of my brother, and your friend of blessed memory Mark Heller I wanted to do something special to honor his memory.

I have set up a series of concerts at Bakers Keyboard Lounge to raise money for the Mark A Heller Foundation. The first of the concerts is Sunday December 7^th at 7:00. Although all monies raised through December and January will go to the foundation the main fundraiser and tribute is Sun Dec 7^th.

I am hoping to see many of Mark's friends there, so please come join us.

I am sure that you know how much this means to my family, myself and to Mark's Foundation.

Last year we raised over $20,000 and donated monies raised to Common Ground.

This year's recipient of monies raised by the Mark A. Heller Foundation will be the Daniel B. Sobel Friendship House.

There is no cover charge. Donations will be accepted at the door. Should you choose you may also make a contribution at www.markahellerfoundation.org
