We, at www.BuyMichiganNow.com, are working on our suggestions for great Michigan-made gifts, and I'd love to have some helpful hints. If you make a product or have a favorite we should know about, please let me know. We are looking gifts ideal for kids or adults, men or women, old or young, republican or democrat, yada yada. No product is too big or too small, so long as it comes from the Great Lake State. So, what are your favs?

I saw there were different brands out there; I bought the one I did just because it's made right here in MI...:-)

Hi,
I own WeGoShop.com a grocery delivery service. I am extending my services to shopping at local farmers markets for my customers as well as typical grocery stores. I met with a man from the Washtenaw Country Extension Office. His name is Mike Score. He helps people start businesses that have to do with food/agriculture. He gets stuff every day from people in Michigan who are trying to get their stuff marketed. I'd definitely give him a call.
His number is 734-222-3905.

Michigan State Product Center works with many local producers to help them promote their products. It is through MSU Extension Service. I have been working with them for about 18 months. We have met many wonderful people who really have great products. Many of them are listed right on your BuyMichiganNow website including us at bizzylizzybakery.com.
We make a high end cookie that can be warmed in the toaster for breakfast - Delicious meets Nutritious.
Barbara Burnham has just created a wonderful ceramic tile with MSU Spartan on it which makes a great gift for fans.
Calders Farms has milk still delivered in glass bottles as services a large part of the Motor City. You can set it up to have it delivered to your special someone all year around. They have a whole line of products including the best Ice Cream I have ever had.
Michigan has so much to offer.
Michigan Chestnut Council is also very neat.
Just to mention a few. BUY MICHIGAN it helps us all. BuyMichiganNow keep up the good work promoting Michigan.
Hi,
I have the #1 Green Game for all ages.......
It's called "Scavenjar" It's a Scavenger Hunt in a Jar
The jar is filled with Birdseed and misc items from around the house and all you do is try to find them by twisting, turning and shaking the jar.
I have to tell you all ages get a kick out of them.
They come in plastic as well as Glass jars and are all under $5.00
Try to find something to do anywhere for under $5.00 anymore...LOL
Oh and I almost forgot............. NO BATTERIES ARE REQUIRED.
My number is 586-604-6907
Lynn,
Do you have a picture of this you can send? It sounds interesting. I can see using this with our A & D firms that we call on possibly?

I bought some wonderful artisenal chilean dulce de leche chocolates at the Ann Arbor Farmer's market last summer. I don't know the artisan's name, but it was a one-woman show and the product was fabuloso!
After a quick google search, I think the company is: http://maitelates.foodzie.com/
They have a sampler for sale on their website.
Anything from Jenny's farm Stand and Cider Mill:
http://www.jennysdextermarket.com/
Including their famous Hot and Sweet Pickles, jams, jellies, syrups, etc.
Also, wines from St. Julian. You can find them in most MI distributors. I love the Rapsberry spumante paired with a rapsberry cheesecake desert
Anything made out of Petosky Stones is truly a Michigan. Pewabic Tiles are another local product, as are the handmade ties from Cyberoptix Tie Lab... http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=58778. The folks at Lisa Gift Wrappers Llc (28834 Woodward Avenue Royal Oak, MI 48067-0941. Phone: (248) 547-9094) can also give you a ton of ideas for Michigan only gifts-- in every price range....
hope this helps!
On I-94W, just past Kalamazoo, there is a little fork in the road, Coloma, which holds two Michigan treasures. You haven't lived until you've tried a handmade truffle from The Chocolate Garden (www.chocolategarden) nor enjoyed a sip of the Michigan grape from Karma Vista winery (www.karmavista.com).
Yay Biggby! I second this suggestion :)
Lee ---- good call. As a fellow "Etsian" I LOVE Cyberoptix Tie Lab!!
Make's me want to wear ties!

We're often tasked with making personalized gifts for people who have everything. While we don't manufacture the clothing here, we add custom embroidery that makes for a great gift from a Michigan-made store! We've done shirts, towels, blankets, totes and more, with names, monograms, pictures, you name it. We've got hundreds of samples in the store, and access to thousands of products that can be customized.
