IMPORTANT MEETING INFO from MCC

I just sent this blast:

If you haven't been to an MCC meeting lately, you are missing out. We have changed the format quite a bit and attendees are raving about them.

What's different you say? Well, I'm glad you ASKed.

First off, we have shortened the official meeting time. Some people love the "gladhanding" that happens. Others need a little more time at the office. As such, the official meeting will start promptly at 11:30. Don't be afraid to show up at 11:00 though as some of the best networking will take place then.

Secondly, we have two very quick rounds of who you are and what you need. It's a chance to make sure you are making an imprint on the people who are there.

Finally, we have had some of the most engaging conversations where everyone is encouraged to share their thoughts, ideas and really add value. Those of you who have attended, know that this really is the best way to get to know the people at the table. People won't care about referring you until they care about you.

11/25/08- MCC training will be from 3-5 at Automation Alley. Bring a friend and learn how to leverage this network better for us all!

12/30/08- The Red, Green and Warmth Campaign. Based on conversation with the Red Cross, they need our drive after Christmas far more than they need it before. We are here to serve. More details will be forthcoming.

MCC Calendar Policy:

The historic MCC calendar has been locked down and will be used almost exclusively for MCC sanctioned events only. The NEW calendar is available to all members to share their events. This calendar is current with the almost all of the events that were posted through November (Those who posted Thursday LBN meetings should contact me).

Moving forward, we will need to work together to post those events. Should you have an event that you would like on the calendar, please forward it to Motorcityconnect@gmail.com. You will need to include: your name, contact info, the date, time and location of the event and up to a one paragraph description of the event. We will add your event to the calendar within 24 hours.
