Upcoming Events, New Calendar Policy and we are at 1999 members!
In an effort to keep our membership better informed of upcoming events, we will be sending out the highlights a week in advance.
Today's note is a little different as we have some administrative news to deal with first.
Many of you have mentioned that you can't find the MCC events on the Calendar. That being said, we have drastically reduced the number of events on any given day. We didn't delete them. We have simply added a second calendar on the site (it's located under the tab "important"). Thanks to Stephanie Styron, the events that were on the MCC calendar have been transferred to the new calendar. While we want our members to continue to share information about other things going on the community, we don't feel like we can continue to do that AND limit our member's ability to find our events. Beside, having a new calendar, means we get to have a new calendar policy ;-)
MCC Calendar Policy:
The historic MCC calendar has been locked down and will be used almost exclusively for MCC sanctioned events only. The NEW calendar is available to all members to share their events. This calendar is current with the almost all of the events that were posted through November (Those who posted Thursday LBN meetings should contact me).
Moving forward, we will need to work together to post those events. Should you have an event that you would like on the calendar, please forward it to Motorcityconnect@gmail.com. You will need to include: your name, contact info, the date, time and location of the event and up to a one paragraph description of the event. We will add your event to the calendar within 24 hours.
Remember, those who sign up for the new MCC premium membership levels by 11/10/08 will gain additional exposure as a "Founding Member".

If you haven't told all of your friends about MCC, RIGHT NOW is a great time to do so. The next member to join will be # 2000! We will be doing our first press release and they WILL be featured.
