(10/29/2008) -Troy, Michigan - Top honors in ConnecTech’s 2008 Web Awards “Web Copywriting” category went to the website www.MyGutsyDream.com, a joint project between Linda Angér (The Write Concept, Inc.) and Faris Alami (Integration Systems Management, Inc.).
Content for the winning site was developed and written by Ms. Angér, who functions as Creative Services Director of Integration Systems Management in addition to her work as president of The Write Concept. “My Gutsy Dream” is a book-in-progress collaboration between Ms. Angér and Faris Alami, president of ISM. The book is slated for publication in early 2009.
Ken Theis, director of the Michigan Department of Information Technology and the State of Michigan's chief information officer, and Danielle DeLonge, ConnecTech Manager at Automation Alley, presented the award to ISMs president, Faris Alami, at the Troy Chamber of Commerce Helen eWards event on October 22nd. More than 200 websites were submitted in 10 categories.
“ISM thrives by bringing the most talented people together to provide innovative solutions in today’s market,” Alami states. “I am honored that Linda’s gift as a copy writer has been recognized by this award, and very proud to have her on our team."

VERY COOL,
Congrats you two,
I am looking forward to reading the book,
Ben
Linda-
This book is such a great idea. I am glad that you and Faris got the recognition you deserve for putting it together.
Thanks for letting us basque in your success!
I wonder how many MCC members cleaned up at the Helens. This is 3 so far. Any more?

I was so excited for Linda and Faris. I am honored to be in such great company! Congratulations.
Thanks to all - and it's great to be in such distinguished company.
Congratulations Linda and Faris... Wish you guys the best of the best to achieve even greater heights.
Thanks, Henry.
This is truly one of many building blocks that makes up Motorcity Connect! Thank You for holding us up... in such a strong light you 2!
Thanks, Keith - Faris and I are both very proud of the site, the award, and the many people in MCC and other orgs who have supported our efforts.
Wow, I'm humbled to be surrounded by such greatness!
We should all be inspired by Linda & Faris to find a passion that leads to similar success
Terry was asking how many more MCC members "cleaned up" at the ConnecTech Awards. I was honored to have been a finalist for the Web Graphic Design award. I was quite honored when I later checked out the competition! Not bad for coming in from the wilds of northern Michigan to compete with the big boys and girls down here in da Motor City. Yes, it's great to be back in Detroit
More important, it was a great evening for networking, sharing, plus being a truly enjoyable event. Congratulations to all the winners from MCC, Bev (the ultimate blogger), Faris & Linda... anyone else?
Suzanne
Congrats Suzanne! I don't believe we've met yet, but now I'm look forward to it!
Sorry you had to "toot your own horn" here, but outstanding that you were a finalist and you're amongst us.
Even more inspiring is how you just moved here! Stupendous
I "second" Drew's comment, Suzanne - and it's time we set up the coffee date we've been talking about -
I also think it's perfectly fine to "toot your own horn" on MCC. There are many wonderful, talented people here, and letting the entire group know that one or more of us were nominated or won awards boosts our credibility - individually and as a group.
Congrats y'all! Bev, Linda, Farris, and Suzanne!
It's terrific to see great people accomplishing great things. We're proud of each of you!
