Best Weekend Ever & Many Many Thanks to some Great MCC Members!

Hello MCC and welcome to another beautiful Monday in October 2008! I know the weather tells us it is August - but really, it is October!

This weekend was The Best Weekend Ever and I have some Great MCC Members to Thank for that...

Friday was the Boy's & Girl's Club of Pontiac's Fundraiser Bar Night at JD's Key Club in downtown Pontiac! It was a great showing and great all around event and thanks for some of that to OUR OWN: Brian King of Sports Authentics for putting on the great silent auction raising money for the kids!

Saturday was the Boy's and Girl's Clubs Annual Leadership Conference for all of the 13 clubs throughout Southeastern Michigan and they asked me to speak. I asked earlier for a great motivational speaker for this event to join me and got a ton of great feedback and interest from MCC Members - In the end the organization asked that I be the key note speaker but I was overwhelmed with the response and eagerness to help from fellow MCC Members!

Sunday was the Special Olympics of Michigan's Miles for Medals Event at Heritage Park in Taylor where over 100 men and women within the Special Olympics come out every year including friends and family and raise money for the organization playing games, dancing, eating great food, and winning great prizes! This year the generosity was unbelievable from our fellow MCC Members! A Special Thanks goes out to the following MCC Members:

• Jennifer Reese from IRR Residential Home Appraisals for her donation of 40 pumpkins for the event which were used for a fun pumpkin (cake) walk!


• Ted Efros from Capital Mortgage Funding for connecting me to Star Trax for their donation of DJ Services for the event - Dennis and Chris we're the DJ's and they made the event! Star Trax can be contacted through Laura Charnas at 248-200-3912


• Brian King from Sports Authentics for donating some amazing sports plaques (7) for prizes and great t-shirts (3)! Everyone was blown away by the plaques (Rip Hamilton, Jeremy Bonderman, Zetterberg, etc etc)


• Rose Anne Laske from Tyrrell Mortgage Corp from your cash donation to the event... every penny counts (literally) :)

Thanks again everyone and THANK YOU TO MCC Members for all your great referrals, feedback, and input...
