Many people are finding what they seek through MCC

Are you one of them?

Our members have found new clients, partners, jobs and even friends. Have you?

I can assure you that the individuals that have found what they sought all have one thing in common: They participate! Are you participating? We have lots of ways to do so:

There are over 10 lunches a month you can attend. We have opened our first breakfast. I think we should be planning a MCC hayride/cidermill trip (I just made that up, anyone care to second it?) We have beat down blight in Detroit and soon we will be donating blood, bucks and blankets in support of our annual Red, Green and Warmth campaign. We have played together and listened to great presenters like John Assaraf, Josh Linkner and Tom Wilson.

Those are all real world things. Think about, or even better, look at all of the great discussions that you can join from the comfort of your own computer.  The opportunities for you to give AND gain are endless here on MCC.

I am very interested in seeing at least 20 people post an answer to "What we can do to make today better for you?" (follow the link below this e-mail to join the discussion). Do it. Do it now. Is there a client you want to meet? Tell us. The more information, the better. Perhaps it's a business partner or a new job you seek. Be specific and let us know how we can help you.

My ask is simple today: I want you tell your friends and colleagues in Lansing about our expansion.  We have opened Capital City Connect! Please forward them this link: http://lansing.collectivex.com/main/summary

Join us. Believe me when I tell you that MCC is a great place for you to find yourself. Because it's a great place to find what you seek.

Thank you for being here.

Terry

I have seen the Secret. I will have to look up Conversations with God. Thanks for the recommendation.

Hugs,

Sandy

I did see that one as well. It was touching and inspirational!

Hugs,

Sandy

WOW - This is a great thread - Thank you Terry and thank you again for mentioning my name... as you always know - I am looking to meet great local Michigan Realtors and Mortgage Professionals.

Is there any other way to think but optomistic? really... REALLY

Excellent comments all the way around!  I was especially excited from Lisa's comments about being able to provide business to a phone vendor and a furniture company.  That is what referrals and networking is all about, being able to create business for your company as well as others in your network.  I am fairly new to the sales game but want to reach out to as many people as I can.  I am interested in setting up referral partners for my company as well as being able to hand business over to others.

My ASK Question for the week is who wants to earn extra income for passing on referrals?  For more information check out my profile and don't hesitate to give me a call.  There is no commitment or monthly obligations just our way of saying thank you for the opportunity.  Like Lisa said I have found people skeptical before they even hear the whole story.  Sometimes it is as simple as 5 minute phone call if it is not for you no big deal, at least you find out what the opportunity is.

On another note, I did see Facing the Giants about 2 weeks back at my church group.  What a great story with such a powerful message.  Thank you all for the positive comments and advice I truly have gained knowledge through these interactions!

Dear Terry,

Thanks for keeping this wonderful group going!

Dear Sandy,

Wow!  You beat me to it with the story of how you and Danielle Zhu met!  That is my favourite personal MCC story so far.  Toastmasters led me directly to both you (and all of the great InSights Group), and Danielle (she is Vice President of PR of the club that I'm the current President of).  In addition, both you and Danielle have helped me so much with business, knowledge, advice, and most of all, friendship.  I could not have thought of a better way for you two to meet other than MCC!!

All the best,

David.

I'll say it too, WOW. Just look at how one simple inquiry, thanks Terry, has fueled many divergent discussions so quickly. "What we can do to make today better for you?" Well, you all have already done so!

I've been on the sidelines recently setting up a new venture (I met my partner, Ari Fischman, through our own Ben Rosenzweig - thanks Ben). There, another positive result of MCC. Anyway, I'm glad to be up and running now and back in the circle. Anahid, I'm sorry to hear of your parents' health challenges but look forward to seeing you again soon. My thoughts are with you. You have such good energy.

One of my favorite benefits of MCC I have seen is the ability to say to one of my clients, a fellow MMCers, friends etc... Hey, I know someone who may be able to help you.

I will be off this afternoon to take our Boy Scout troop camping with a positive outlook and be back Monday ready to help some people with their insurance needs.

Peace

Dear Terry,

Thanks for getting the Lansing group started and I look forward to participating in both groups.

What would help me have a better day today is the meet someone that
I can partner with to increase sales, with effective marketing and
customer recognition using a target promotion.

I agree with Candace and everyone else that we need to keep thinking
positive. Michigan is suppose to have one of the highest unemployment
rates at 8% that means that 92% are working lets keep thinking about
how great that is. The glass is half full not half empty.

Thanks,

Jane

A few weeks back I notice an ask on MCC. It was a person looking for a job. I looked at her resume and thought that she would be a welcome addition to our staff. I forwarded her resume to Sue McGill CTS Sales Mgr. and she agreed. The young lady in question starts work for CTS on Monday.

As for me I'm here for things like Blightbusters, CHM amd the Red Cross which by the way we should be donating blod, blankets and bucks shortly.

Conversations with God is a fantastic movie. Good call Sandra,

My ask for today is Successful insurance agents and Financial Planners.
They are my clients and I need to talk to more of them.

If you know any agencies please help me get in front of them.

Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Ben Rosenzweig

Hi again!

Funny thing is, I never answered Terry's original question...  This whole thread is helping to keep me very positive today.  When you are positive, ANYTHING and EVERYTHING are possible!  What I would like today (or next week will work too!) is to talk to anyone on the list below:

1.   Anyone who is interested in setting up Enterprise 2.0 (not 1701!) for their business.

2.   Anyone who needs help with sales, marketing, or business development.

3.   Anyone who needs project management (IT mainly, but I'll handle any type).

4.   Anyone who needs a speaker for an event, seminar, conference, or even a birthday party!  (And if I can't do it, I know plenty that can! Wink)

5.   Anyone who just wants a plain old creative conversation, chat, or someone to make you smile!  As my InSights t-shirt says... "Free Hugs!"

6.   And my biggest ask of all, is for everyone that knows me, or is reading this, to have a GREAT DAY (in the GREAT STATE, or where ever you find yourself...)

Enjoy the blue skies and sunshine everyone!

David.

David!  What a GREAT post!  Have you seen The Secret?  You embody the principles!  I love your attititude.  Sealed  I belong to the Optimist Club in the Lakes Area (they are all over).  You are a natural and your post just gave me energy!Cool

Here I am trying to be all pragmatic and business focused on a beautiful day and you all are showing the WAY of Universal goodness! That is awesome to me!

If you have attended my networking training you know I teach that networking works precisely because of how the universe works. In particular, there are two universal laws that guide us:

The law of reciprocity- This basically states as I give to you, you are going to go out of your way to give to me...Dr. Ivan Meisner, founder of BNI said it succintly years ago "Givers Get".

The law of generosity- Simply stated, as I do good by you, the universe takes notice and will do good by me. This is why when you give a lead/referral to someone, something very good happens to/for you from another source.

I love where you all have taken this conversation. I have not seen "Facing the Giants', but will take a look at it. I have also not seen "Conversations with God", but read the book back in 99. Great stuff. Peaceful Warrior is a great book and one of the ones that showed me my path back in 92 (Illussions by Richard Bach is also on that list). I enjoyed The Secret so much that I attracted John Asseraf to come speak to our group. The Cellestine Prophecy is another great book that made a good movie. Looks like it is time for another movie viewing.

Stay Connected-

Terry

Well, my ASK may not sound as sophisticated as many others on this board; financial planners, IT professionals, insurance agents and more.  I recently became the Sales Manager - Commercial Division for Batteries Plus in Birmingham.  After years of sales in the Plastic/Die Cast industry, it's become more difficult to find something locally, considering that weekly I see a former client closing or filing Chapter 11 or being gobbled up by a larger company.  So I'm now selling products each of you use, in one form or another, every day.

So, what can I you do for you?  With the rapid increase in technology products, each of you have important data that can be lost in a second.  We have batteries for 75% of the UPS systems out there protecting each of you.  Yet, that is a small part of what we offer.  Check it out at:

What's to be negative about?

The sun is shinning, the birds are singing, some flowers are blooming and I got out of bed this morning.

It's a good day.

Put your shoulders back, head up and smile.  It will be a great day

In reading the posts, it would seem that setting a goal to give just a little more than we get every day would achieve much of what folks are after. This attitude of service, in my opinion, could:

a) make people's business and personal lives more positive

b) increase business results and business relationships

c) provide a significant return to the people who choose to set and achieve such a goal

It's difficult to implement (I'm sure I have not fully implemented this goal). However, if we continuously try to live up to this standard positive results will occur.

Regards,
Dale Hetrick
