Converting ‘Likes' to Customers, Martin Smith of A-Side Worldwide

Over the past couple of years we've learned Social Media 101. Topics in that course included the boosting engagement, providing social value and humanizing communication.
Many of us have graduated from that first session and are interested in how we can leverage social media and other elements of digital marketing to actually reach your goals. What good is great engagement if none of the ‘customers' you're engaging are buying anything (or at least buying more than they would have without your social media efforts)?
In Smith's LA2M talk he'll discuss the single best way he's found to convert ‘likes' and ‘followers' to customers, as well as the following topics:

  • Finding the best target for your business
  • Reaching that market using social ads
  • Using digital marketing to strengthen your revenue over time

Martin Smith is a marketing strategy consultant and VP of Marketing for A-Side Worldwide. He has over 10 years of experience in the area of non-traditional marketing including: event, guerilla, digital and social media marketing.
With Martin at the lead, A-Side has successfully managed social media and lifestyle marketing campaigns for various brands such as Mazda, T-Mobile, Microsoft and Toyota. Martin has also worked with music artists such as Jay-Z, Beyoncé & Eminem.
Prior to starting into business as a marketer and a DJ, Martin attended the University of Michigan Business School with emphasis on Marketing & Computer & Information Systems. He couldn't get enough of U of M, so he went back for another 3 years at the University of Michigan Law School.


Additionally, Martin has travelled the world as a DJ and co-owns a Michigan based Photo Booth & DJ Service company, Snapfuze.
His current goal is to help businesses structure and implement focused marketing strategies that deliver strong economic value.
